Iron Horse Christian Youth Ranch is a non-profit youth ranch committed to providing an opportunity for horse education for youth, adults and individuals with special needs in order to benefit from the therapeutic qualities of horses combined with Biblical principles to develop character and confidence.

We instruct in safety, equine education and riding skills and teach horsemanship according to the Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA); we do not teach the "get on and go" type of instruction and classes. The initial classes will always include ground work, grooming and safety.

Saturday December 7 - Closed for instruction/mentoring due to weather
Saturday, December 14 - Open Youth Ranch Equine Education at 1:00
Thursday December 19 - Compassion International gathering. Youth are welcome to attend. Please email if you are interested.
Classes during the week may be rescheduled on days when we have warm temperatures.
We will begin gathering canned food for the local food pantry beginning December 2. Items placed in the indoor arena. We would like to hear from you on ideas in the community to be of service and give to others. Please let us know!!

Vounteers are welcome to come and help feed, clean and check water during the cold weather days.
Leasing and the facility is not closed on the cold weather days, our lessons are the only activity cancelled due to our temperature guidelines for classes

We would like to thank Compassion International for allowing us the opportunity to share our heart and hear some of the youth at your Chapel time. Thank you for your support and fundraising and selecting IHCYR to be your sponsor site in our community this year! We were overwhelmed with meeting new friends at the Chili Lunch and Silent Auction. We are so grateful and are looking forward to serving children in our community because of your support and prayers!
Please pray for us for guidance and direction and how we can offer more services to those in need.
Another HUGE THANK YOU to PIMA Medical school for your support on donating shots and wormer again this fall! We are so grateful for your time and wonderful partnership with your students and Dr. Kim and Anita! Your have been a tremendous blessing to the horses and their care for many years. We look forward to seeing you here every Spring and Fall!!
The classes on Saturday all go toward the feed for the current horses, we are close to breaking even on cost for the horses we have currently but are still short about 300$ each month. When we do not meet the current feed costs and care all lesson fees during the week are also donated to the care of the horses at ihcyr.
Thank you to the families who are leasing Ginger and Misty. All Leasing goes for the care of the horses and all the youth who volunteer their time to help Susan teach on Saturdays. Thank you to all the Adults who also supervise on Saturday to ensure safety for our youth. All of the teaching and proceeds on Saturday are donated to feed and care for the horses, so a HUGE THANK YOU for volunteering all your time to feed and care for the horses at ihcyr.

Insurance is due for September 2013 - 2014 Learning for Life $10.00 Venture Crew: ages 14 and up. $15.00 (this will include a background check on all adults)

Semi Private or more in the group $30.00 Package of 4 $100.00 Family Package - all siblings group of 3 $70.00
Private $40.00 Package of 4 $140.00

Youth Ranch equine education class - First Saturday of each month November Open House 2 - 4pm We will be having a Freestyle Costume dress up your horse and rider classes for all our lesson times and a focus on thankfulness.
Check the website before attending for the time and location. Suggested Donationof $20.00 for the care of the horses if you are not a current participant in a class/mentoring time.
Cancellations need at least 24 hours notice.
Leasing is available during the morning/afternoon hours every day of the week if the horse is available-100% of the lease fee is for the care of the horse!
