EQUINE EDUCATION
Classes designed for the self-development of youth to ensure horse safety and responsible care.  Students gain hands-on experience with horses  including grooming and hoof care. Call or e-mail for class schedules.

RIDING INSTRUCTION
Group riding lessons are offered to give horse-lovers access to horses and an opportunity to learn to ride. Clear communication and quality horsemanship is the foundation to prevent harm to both horse and rider. A donation for scheduled riding time is how we feed and care for the
school horses made available for instruction.

HORSE REHABILITATION
Offering rescue, care and rehabilitation for horses which have been neglected, abused or are in need of proper care. Horses are in need of sponsors to cover the cost for care and feed.
 

We believe in teaching leadership skills to trained older experienced youth, so they learn to mentor the younger students. Adult supervision is provided.

LEVEL PROGRAMS OFFERED AT IHCYR

IHCYR is chartered with the Boy Scouts of
America, Learning for Life and Venture Crews.
Participants will be insured through the Boy
Scouts of America.
 

The Youth Ranch has extended hours for trained
youth and adult volunteers to assist during youth
ranch activities. Needed Feed and cleaning crews,
grooming, individuals with experience for exercising
school horses, blanketing, turnouts and maintenance.
